Implementing Oracle Database Firewall

Implementing Oracle Database Firewall course imparts core skills to configure a firewall system that blocks unauthorized traffic. Participants get to learn about Database Firewall Management Server and enforcement points for deploying firewall policies. They will also be taught how to use Oracle Database Firewall Administration Console. It is a Web browser based application used for configuring, managing and monitoring the system, user role auditing, configuring stored procedure auditing, email alerts, archiving data and reporting. Also get acquainted with creating policies to alert, block, permit or log SQL statements using the Firewall Analyzer.

Course Objectives :

  • Monitoring and blocking unauthorized SQL traffic before it hits the database
  • Creating strong defenses that prevent SQL injections or other malicious activities from affecting the database
  • Devising black-list, white-list and exception-list policies to safeguard databases
  • Generating customized reports for regulatory compliance
  • Installing and configuring the Oracle Database Firewall and its Management Server
